MOST Scammers want to stay hidden from their prey and they will go to great lengths to accomplished this. Look on their website itself, do you see a real persons name, address or even a phone number, NO YOU DON'T.

These SCAMMERS are very clever in hiding themselves. Take Nick Destefano, Nick aka James Zubrant aka many other names. He opens up phony review websites and dropshipping directories under assumed names.

Now to get to my point -

You can find out quickly who is listed as the registrant of the domain name by using a simple whois lookup service (see list below).

There are two ways to deceive you, one is by outright lying about themselves when registering the domain name, which is against ICANN rules and can reported at http://wdprs.internic.net/

The other way of hiding themselves is through a hidden name or proxies registration firm. I can understand that if a person wants a domain name to build a personal website, but does not want their name and address to be posted, that's one thing, but when a so-called-review website, who you are suppose to believe their garbage, can not tell you who they really are, THEY MUST BE SCAMMERS!

HERE IS HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF!

1. Check their WHOIS info with one of the sources below

2. If the data is a private registration, no need to go any further - STAY AWAY FROM THEM

3. If their data is not complete, report them to http://wdprs.internic.net/ - When filing a complaint, you may use our name Master Sherlock and email address as the follow up person, so you can remain anonymous.

4. If their data looks like its real, take their complete address and copy it into Google.com - Here you will be able to see if there are other websites that are using the same address, if so look into them as well. Make sure their whois address is ALSO on their web site.
