The idea of using affiliates starts for
website owners who needed to get more quality traffic to their website
and was willing to pay a commission for another website owner to list
their url on their website.
The
affiliate themselves would look into the company to be sure that their
honorable reputation would not give themselves a negative experience,
and would list their link on their website.
The
affiliate would list one company within an industry that would have a
connection from within their individual industry to give their
customers a good recommendation for other services that they may be
watching for.
This
whole concept has been turned upside
down with certain people using affiliate links to generate
themselves money by making up phony
review websites and force these renowned companies compete
amongst themselves.
We
believe that the Companies who are offering affiliates to receive a
commission should create a rule that if you use a
competitors affiliate link on your site you may not use ours.
This would not stop it completely but would put a damper on it.
The
course the interconnected method is structure now, it does not matter
who they put on their site and who any user selects to buy from, that
affiliate still gets a commission from on of these companies.
